Got to finish a custom order that brought up a really good question.. what’s the difference between flat bottom vs round bottom when you get into minibags (other than the $5 price difference)? Here’s a side by side comparison… the green is the flat, which gives it a squarer shape and holds a little more. The purple is going to hold more of a pouchy shape- and the equivalent of 2 standard D&D sets of dice (and is kind of like a little mini hand grenade when full.. which leads to a lot of Holy Hand Grenade jokes around here). We were able to get 5 sets of dice into the flat bottomed one.. and then we kinda wanted to play D&D…

So, funny story… it seems we have a fondness for bears around here (really, woulda guessed THAT?). And then, we wanted to experiment with scalemail on the small scale (hyuk, hyuk, I kill me with the puns). So it seemed very natural to put the scalemail on bears… which we think went VERY well!

Yes, we’re working on larger pieces that could go on people, too, but for now, you can find these finely dressed knight and lady bears at events and available in the etsy store!

If it’s one thing we’ve heard from the events we’ve done this year, it’s that people love the bracelets but hate the clasps. So we thought about it awhile, then we decided to try using the same rubber rings from our 3 in 1s with helm chain and 4 in 1s. We’re really pleased with the results, and hope you guys will like them as much as we do!

I know we’ve been posting a lot of shots of items that are freshly made and that AREN’T available on our online store.

There’s a good reason for that… honestly, we’ve been making so much stock so quickly for the different events that we have coming up that we haven’t restocked the online goodies as of yet.

Thank you for your patience, of course, we’re still accepting custom word.. and our online store will be updated on June 1st!

This is one of those colors that we only have a very limited supply of… So we tend to use it sparingly. 

I think the Dragonscale charm was a good pick, though!

Pastel rainbow charm

Since our Dragonscale charms were so popular, we decided to experiment with a few more!

This little bit of rainbow will be heading to pride… and kind of hoping for time to do a bracelet, too!

So thanks to a comment from Reta at Abitha’s Apothecary, we now offer flat bottomed bags!  From looking at this one, you can see it gives a lot more room and keeps a more squared off shape. (Btw, that’s a coke can so thoroughly covered by the bag there.)

While we are currently out of stock on pre-made bags of this type, it is an option for custom work.

We had a great start to our events for the year with the Albuquerque Renaissance Faire. Talked to a lot of folk, came away with a lot of ideas and hopefully enough time to implement a few before Pride!

Those are just a few 🙂

And yes, there will be more bears! Maybe even… Rainbow bears?!

Just a few of the new goodies we’ve been working on lately.. a few new choker/collar types that we’ve been experimenting with.. then someone got an idea for a hair tieback that’s working out pretty well (after multiple extended tests, it does NOT pull hair out!). Then there was another dragonscale mood that gave us the charms and the cuffs for a more time intensive project 🙂
